When it comes to Honda, we know that if we focus on sales, they have several cars that are doing quite well in the global automotive industry. The Honda CR-V, Honda Civic, and Honda Accord are currently among the top ten best-selling vehicles in the United States. We are anticipating the release of the 2017 Honda Avancier in the near future. It was recently unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Auto Show. This elegant SUV could be Honda’s future SUV flagship in China. It appears to be a sleek, spacious vehicle with a respectable 2.0L turbocharged engine.
Exterior design
What we can say about the 2017 Honda Avancier’s exterior is that it appears to have some similarities with their current top-selling model, the 2016 Honda CR-V. Their LED headlights and sporty grille could have been inspired by that vehicle.
The wheel arches and lower portion of the car’s exterior are wider than the upper portion of the car’s side. This gives the 2017 Honda Avancier a hefty appearance and adds to its toughness.
The back of the car looks great. Starting at the top, the Avancier has a short overhang that roofs the steep diagonal rear window. When the window flows into the trunk lid, the line continues vertically down. The taillights are mounted partially on the body and partially on the trunk lid. The taillights are attached to the trunk lid’s chrome bar in the shape of small red and white clips. The car has a rectangular exhaust on each side, with a large, silver insert in between.
Interior design
The interior design is excellent. Leather seats and a lovely dashboard that flows nicely into the sides of the car can be seen in the photos. It’s also very clean and devoid of unnecessary buttons, which contributes to a relaxing driving experience. This is especially true when the standard air conditioning is blowing a cool breeze through the cabin.
The analog gauges on the 2017 Honda Avancier are separated by a 6 inch TFT display. In addition, another large digital infotainment screen can be found on the center console.
The Avancier has a panoramic roof as well as heated and ventilated seats.
Engine specs
Due to Chinese market engine size restrictions, the 2017 Honda Avancier is only available with two turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engines. A 1.5L engine with 193 horsepower and 240 Nm mated to a CVT transmission labeled “240 Turbo.” A 2.0L engine with 268 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque, mated to a nine-speed automatic dubbed the “370 Turbo,” sends power to an all-wheel drive system.
Tech specs
We expect a lot from the 2017 Honda Avancier’s tech department, based on the interior luxury. We do know that the Honda sensing suite of safety features will be standard on the Avancier. Lane Keeping Assist, active cruise control, Rear Parking Assist, and Collision Avoidance with Steering Assist are some of the features available. Aside from that, we anticipate smartphone-controlled functions, navigation, WIFI connectivity, and browsing capabilities on the infotainment screen (weather, traffic etc.)
Price, release and sale date
In China, the price for the entire package has been set at $39,000 for the base model, with the top end model costing up to $66,000. The car will also be available in India soon, where it will cost the equivalent of $45,000.
