The GTR is still regarded as one of the best Japanese sports cars ever made. Nissan apparently wasn’t going to leave it at that. The company has recently introduced the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo. People loved the Nissan GTR, but the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is apparently better than the GTR. The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo doesn’t have a confirmed release date as yet.

But there are speculations that it will be available for sale by mid 2014. So what makes the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo better than the GT-R? For starters, the technology used by Nissan in the Nismo has not been seen in any other production car as yet. The technology and data that went into developing the Nismo was acquired by Nissan during the numerous racing events held throughout the year.

The GT3 spec car even competed in the Nurburgring race which goes on for 24-hours. Considering the technology used in the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo, it is evident that it will have few naysayers. Let’s look at some prime aspects of the soon to be seen Nismo in detail:

Aerodynamics

One of the major concerns for any automobile manufacturer is aerodynamics. Not only does the car have to break wind resistance but it has to maintain stability while doing so. The only way to maintain stability in a sports car is by making it heavy. This allows the car to maintain a good grip on the road at high speeds. This concept has been taken to a whole new level with the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo.

The car’s aerodynamics has received a significant bump since the last GTR. The new and improved aerodynamics of the Nismo gives it an addition 100kg down-force. The extra down-force ensures that the Nismo maintains its road grip at high speeds. This upgrade was necessary as Nissan stuffed immense power into the Nismo’s engine.

Engine

The best aspect of the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is that it comes ready to race from the factory. Most sports cars require upgrades to make it ready to perform on the track. However, the Nismo is ready to race as soon you buy it. The engine that the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo uses is a V-type and has six-cylinders to generate the power.

This engine produces a stunning amount of horsepower and torque for its size. The V-6 in the Nismo is merely 3.8 liters in capacity. Yet it produces an amazing 600 horsepower and 481 pounds of torque. One can’t ask for more than this in a production car, but that’s not all. The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo has a top speed of 195 miles an hour, which is more than the GTR. The Nismo even holds the lap record at the Nordschleife circuit in Germany. The lap record for a production car is dominated by the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo with a time of 7:08.679.

Design

Much like the engine, the car’s design has absolutely no flaws to it. The design is perfect just the way it is from the factory. The 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo has a rugged sporty look on the exterior and a luxury car interior.

Nissan has done it once again with the 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo. The specs of the Nismo are sure to leave its predecessor, the GTR, far behind.
