Used 2017 Ford Transit Overview
The Ford Transit Passenger van carries over into 2017 with few changes. Ford claims the most configurations in its class, with 16 versions of the Transit. The Transit Passenger is available in three roof heights, 130- and 148-inch wheelbases, and three body lengths. The Transit Passenger is available in 150 and 350 levels in XL and XLT trims, with single sliding doors or 60/40 hinged doors. For 2016, a front dome lamp with map lights and theater dimming, a rear-view camera, and SYNC® 3 was introduced and standard on all trims. The 3.7-liter V6 designed for optimal performance with E85 capability and optional CNG/propane gaseous prep package. A 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost® turbo is available, as is a 3.2-liter 5-cylinder Power Stroke® common-rail turbodiesel. The Transit features power rack and pinion steering, and its suspension system designed for smoother, flatter cornering and a well-controlled ride quality regardless of load.
