Volvo and their performance partner Polestar have revealed the concept they have been working on lately.
Appropriately called the Volvo S60 Polestar Performance Concept this thing is a one off model created to an unknown customer which could be aimed towards the M3 and the C63 AMG in case it goes into production.
We say that because the S60 Polestar Concept produces an impressive 508 HP at 6,500 rpm and 575 Nm (424 lb-ft) at 5,500rpm, and not only that, but it can also rocket from nought to 62 mph (100 Km/h) in 3.9 seconds and can attain a maximum speed of 186 mph (300 Km/h).
The figures mentioned above are squeezed from a turbocharged T6 inline-six engine which shifts through a reinforced close ratio manual 6-speed transmission and is connected to the vehicle’s Haldex Gen4 XWD (cross-wheel-drive) system.
Apart from that the Volvo S60 Polestar Performance Concept features a lower, wider and stiffer chassis, an Ohlins suspension, upgraded brakes from Brembo and a stainless steel exhaust system.
The car rides on 265/30 R19 tires and its interior received Polestar designed sports seats, a lowered centre console and various areas covered in Alcantara for increased support and grip.
