Volvo announced some new over the air updates for its European models. Now, the update is available also for its US clients.

Volvo Car USA is rolling out its first ever over-the-air (OTA) software update on the all-electric XC40 Recharge as well as the 2022 XC60, 2022 XC60 Recharge, and 2022 XC60 Polestar Engineered equipped with Google built-in.

Starting this week eligible Volvo cars across the country will receive a range of updates, including new features, bug fixes, and enhancements to infotainment and propulsion systems.

The introduction of OTA software updates means customers can enjoy the latest software and new, updated features on their Volvo without leaving home. It also means new Volvo cars are designed to improve over time.

The latest software update includes the addition of SiriusXM satellite radio across all eligible cars. Drivers of the pure electric XC40 Recharge should also see an improved driving range, with a Range App to help maximize battery usage, plus cold weather warnings for optimal battery performance.

Eligible drivers will receive the automatic software update and a notification will be displayed on their screen when it is available to download and install to their vehicles.
