Volvo only has two electric models in its line-up: the XC40 Recharge and the C40 Recharge. The current electric cars are fitted with an infotainment system that can be updated over the air.
And thanks to this feature, the Swedish car manufactuere has come up with a special update that improves the range of the electric models.
The update includes new infotainment software, bug fixes, and Sirus XM radio capabilities.
Volvo said that the range improvement was achieved thanks to a propulsion system update. They did not say exactly how much range will increase, but it is great to see that an OTA update can do such interesting things with your electric car.
