New details regarding the automakers plan’s of introducing the sportier version Volkswagen Polo R in 2012 have just surfaced.
Apparently the Volkswagen Polo R will be powered by a tweaked version of the company’s 1.6-litre engine that will produce 210 BHP and unlike the Golf R which is 4WD, the Polo R will only be front-wheel drive.
Customers that don’t want to wait until 2012 for the Volkswagen Polo R should know that the new 2011 Volkswagen Polo GTI will hit the market this summer fitted with an 177 BHP 1.4-litre twin turbocharged engine.
The 2011 Volkswagen Polo GTI will cost around 18,000 GBP or approximately 20,700 Euro, for the 3-door version.
