Another new model going on sale in the UK is the Volkswagen Golf GTI Cabriolet, for which the automaker is already accepting orders, but which will go on sale on the aforementioned market in July.
The GTI Cabriolet starts at 29,310 GBP and is distinguished by a series of now classic design cues that include a honeycomb structure radiator grille with red edging and the GTI badge, a bumper that incorporates a deep air dam and unique fog lights, aerodynamic side skirts, a bespoke rear diffuser, smoked LED tail lights and a dual exhaust system with chrome tailpipes.
The new Golf GTI Cabrio sits on 18 inch Monza Shadow wheels, and at the interior it features seats covered in ‘Jacara’ cloth upholstery, a multifunction steering wheels wrapped in leather, brushed stainless steel pedal caps and black decorative inlays.
The car is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine that spins the wheels via a standard 6-speed manual gearbox or an optional 6-speed dual-clutch DSG gearbox. This engine produces 210 HP and helps the car sprint from 0 to 62 mph (100 Km/h) in 7.3 seconds and attain a top speed of 147 mph (236 Km/h).
Fuel consumption figures for the Golf GTI Cabriolet (UK rating / combined cycle), are 37.2 mpg while CO2 emissions are 177 grams per Km (36.7 mpg and 180 grams per Km for the DSG version).
