In the following years, Volkswagen will come on the market with lots of electric cars n the market. But the German car manufacturer has bigger plans for the customers.
According to a recent report, Volkswagen will come with some performance electric models. The upcoming cars will come with the GTX suffix, which means that Volkswagen will continue to follow the GT (GTI, GTE, GTD) line.
In the same report, sources notted that the first model to get the GTX name will be the upcoming ID.4. Volkswagen ID.4 will be the production version of the Volkswagen ID Crozz concept car, prototype which was unveiled in 2017 during the Frankfurt Motor Show.
The new ID.4 GTX will feature two electric motors, one for each axle. According to the same report, the ID.4 electric SUV will be unveiled in 2020 and the performance version of the model will be unveiled in the first part of 2021.
