Volkswagen’s Commercial Vehicles arm has announced the limited edition Caravelle called Edition 25.
The automaker’s passenger carrier comes with an exclusive Candy White exterior finish (Reflex Silver optimally available) and unique styling cues such as a revised front bumper with black styling accents, xenon headlights with integrated LED running lights, black highlights above the side sills and on the roof, plus 18 inch ‘Edition 25’ design alloys.
The Volkswagen Caravelle Edition 25 is based on the SE specification level and it adds three-zone air conditioning, voice activated satellite navigation, Bluetooth telephone preparation, parking sensors with reversing camera and the Lane Change Assist system which monitors the vehicle’s blind spots.
On the inside the Volkswagen Caravelle Edition 25 received two-tone leather upholstery while under the bonnet the 6-passenger carrier received the automaker’s 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo common rail diesel which delivers 180 PS with the help of a 7-speed DSG transmission.
This Edition 25 has standard FWD but is also available with the 4MOTION four-wheel-drive system.
The Volkswagen Caravelle Edition 25 sprints from nought to 62 mph in 11.3 seconds (12.1 seconds with the 4MOTION version), can reach a top speed of 119 mpg (117 mph) and its efficiency figures are 34.9 mpg (32.1 mpg) / UK rating, with CO2 emission levels of 214 g/Km.
