Volkswagen enjoys an important milestone these day. One of its most iconic models, the Volkswagen T5 California camper van reaches a production milestone of 50.000 units assembled.
And with a figure of over 8,100 units the car will reach its highest annual production yet. Further on, the manufacturing continues on a two-shift basis in order to meet the high level of demand.
The 50,000th vehicle is a California SE (Comfortline) in Natural Grey with a 2.0 TDI 140PS BlueMotion Technology engine featuring a 7-speed DSG transmission.
This California will be on show at this year’s Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf (30 August to 7 September) on the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles stand.
