Volkswagen’s Commercial Vehicles division is showcasing a special edition Caddy at the 2011 IAA in Frankfurt.
The model is called the Volkswagen Caddy Edition 30, and comes ahead of the Caddy’s 30th anniversary from next year. On the list of special features for this model the automaker has added a gloss black roof, 17 inch machine polished alloys and special badges on the sliding doors, at the back of the car and on the door sills.
The Volkswagen Caddy Edition 30 will be offered with five body colours (Candy White, Reflex Silver, Salsa Red, Primavera Green or Sunny Yellow) while its interior can be ordered in 5-seat of a 7-seat configurations. The seats feature Alcantara upholstery, a multifunction steering wheel, a leather wrapped gear shifter and handbrake lever plus tinted windows.
The Volkswagen Caddy Edition 30 also features semi-automatic climate control and the model on display in Frankfurt features a 170 PS (125 kW) 2.0-litre TDI engine under its bonnet, mated ti a DSG transmission. Thanks to this engine the Caddy Edition 30 could reach a top speed of 196 Km/h.
