Porsche will celebrate 75 years in 2023. The first model made under the Porsche name was the 356 and it was unveiled in June 1948. In order to honour this moment, Porsche has developed the Vision 357 Concept.
“The concept car is an attempt to combine the past, present, and future with coherency, The 357 adopts the original’s proportions while featuring styling details that look toward the future”, said Michael Mauer, Style Porsche’s vice president.
As you would expect, the exterior of the car – or at least some bits – were heavily inspired by the old 356.
The styling concept car was developed on the 718 Cayman GT RS platform, which means theoretically is equipped with a 4.0 liter flat six engine with 500 horsepower.
The car will be showcased in Berlin, and probably in some other special events planned by Porsche this year.
