This next video offers a glimpse of the Proton Inspira which as you can easily notice is based on the Mitsubishi Lancer, except it has a redesigned front grille and a new bumper.
In case you are not familiar with the brand, then we inform you that Proton is a Malaysian automaker who also owns Lotus, and as far as the new Proton Inspira its name derives from the Malaysian word "Inspirasi" which means…inspiration.
The Proton Inspira 4-door sedan will extract power from a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine, with a 2.0-litre also available and some of its features include a CVT transmission with steering wheel mounted paddle shifters, cruise control, climate control, rain sensing windshield wipers and headlights that turn on when it starts to get dark.
Pricing for the Proton Inspira 1.8 starts at 79,880 RM which is close to 26,000 USD, and reaches 95,000 RM (around 31,000 USD) for the 2.0-litre version.
