A while ago we presented a video with a Blackberry remote controlled Formula 1 car, and now a team from Germany designed an application called iDriver that enables an iPhone to remote control a minivan.
The iPhone controlled minivan was named "Spirit of Berlin" and the completely autonomous vehicle was developed by the Freie Universitaet Berlin. Among special equipment that made the iPhone controlled minivan project possible are various sensors and a drive-by-wire system for unmanned driving.
