This next video is a rather unusual test done by the Brits from Autocar who wanted to see if the Honda Civic Type R Mugen can keep up with Audi R8 V10 on some twisty public roads.
We’re not quite sure if this comparison test has any relevance but here are the specs for both cars:
The Honda Civic Type R Mugen weights 1233 Kg and has a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces 239 bhp @ 8,300 rpm and 157 lb-ft of torque @ 6,250 rpm. With this engine the Honda Civic Type R Mugen can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 6 seconds while maximum speed is 146 mph. Pricing is 38,599 GBP.
The Audi R8 V10 weights 1,625 Kg and extracts its ponies from a 5.2-litre V10 producing 518bhp @ 8,000 rpm and 390 lb-ft of torque @ 6,500 rpm. Accelerating from 0 to 62 mph takes 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 196 mph can be reached. The Audi R8 V10 costs 103,810 GBP.
