We’ve seen Autocar’s impression on the 2011 Citroen C4, now its time for a test drive involving the same model, but done by FifthGear.
The Citroen C4 range starts at 15,500 GBP and reaches 21,500 GBP for the range topping Exclusive version equipped with a 2.0-litre turbo diesel producing 140 bhp and 218 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to this engine which uses a six-speed manual gearbox, the Citroen C4 sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and can reach a maximum speed of 126 mph.
The complete engine lineup for the new Citroen C4 includes three diesels and three petrol plants, with the most efficient version emitting only 109 grams of CO2 per Km.
Even though the Citroen C4 is well equipped, with a comfortable interior and offers a smooth ride, Vicky thinks the French hatch is too ordinary and not as dynamic as competitors like the Ford Focus or VW Golf.
