The latest video featured on the German automaker’s official YouTube channel gives details about the Audi Travolution, which is an intelligent traffic system to help drivers cross through the city more efficiently.
Besides ‘planning traffic intelligently’, the Audi Travolution helps reduce fuel consumption, increases safety and decreases stress levels during the rush hour.
The Audi Travolution system communicates with the traffic lights and is basically telling the driver how to adjust his speed, so he can catch the green wave of lights. The whole things would require traffic lights and cars to communicate wirelessly, and if put into practice, an emissions reduction level of around 15 percent could be achieved.
