The latest review video from AutoExpress involves a road test with the Audi RS3 Sportback, a model that is even more agile than the S3, which targets competitors like the Renaultsport Megane 250, VW Golf R and Ford Focus RS
Like the S3 the Audi RS3 Sportback is only available with an automatic gearbox and a 5-door body style, but what sets the RS3 apart is the 5-cylinder turbo engine borrowed from the TT RS, which develops 335 bhp.
The Audi RS3 price for UK is 40,000 GBP (9,000 GBP more than the S3), and for that amount you’ll get a reasonably discrete looking hatch that is fairly practical and insanely fast, considering its 0 to 62 mph sprint time of 4.6 seconds is faster than a Porsche Carrera S and equal to the R8 V8.
As opposed to the S3 the Audi RS3 also comes with a lower and stiffer suspension, while in terms of consumption, the car’s combined UK rating is 31 mpg.
