Remember when Porsche was doubting Godzilla’s triumph over the Nurburgring in 2008? Back then the Japanese car maker was lapping the famous track in Germany in 7 minutes 29 seconds while according to Porsche’s tests, the GTR was actually doing it in 7 minutes 54 seconds.
Anyway that’s the past and the car has went through various improvements since then. Now the Japanese are back at the Nurburgring, at this time they claim a new time of 7 minutes 24 seconds achieved with the latest generation 2012 Nissan GTR, beating their previous record of 7 minutes 26 seconds.
This latest version comes with 45 additional HP when compared to the previous generation and to put things into perspective, this new time makes the 2012 GTR faster than a Ferrari Enzo or a Porsche Carrera GT.
