FifthGear has reviewed the 2011 Volkswagen Sharan and except for the fact they think it should come with bigger mirrors, they were impressed with the new 7-seater in pretty much every way possible.
When compared to the previous generation, the 2011 Volkswagen Sharan offers more space, yet it weights less, and its engines are more powerful, yet more fuel efficient. Volkswagen’s new kiddie carrier has also been fitted with practical sliding doors, and pricing in the UK ranges from 23,000 to 31,000 GBP.
Even though petrol engines are available, FifthGear suggests considering the diesel versions, which deliver either 140, or 170 HP, come with start stop technology and energy recuperation system plus return around 50 mpg (UK rating) in a combined cycle.
