Lexus created an exciting and rugged midsize SUV with the all-new 2024 Lexus GX. The whole overhaul includes more advanced tech features, a new twin-turbo V6 engine, and a more luxurious design, but it comes at a significantly higher price.

The 2024 GX550 begins at $64,250, including destination, up $4,225 from the previous model. The Premium+ model costs $69,250 and comes with extra equipment, while the Luxury and Luxury+ trims start at $77,250 and $81,250, respectively. The Premium model includes a third-row seat and a choice of bench or second-row captain’s chairs.

For off-road aficionados, the Overtrail model starts at $69,250, and the well-equipped Overtrail+ model is priced at $77,250. The Overtrail model has a second-row bench and a five-passenger maximum capacity.

All GX550 models come with a 10-speed automatic gearbox, four-wheel drive, and a new 379-hp twin-turbo 3.4-liter V6 with 21 mpg. It’s a significant improvement over the previous generation GX, which had a 301-hp 4.6-liter V8 engine. Lexus also claims a hybrid version may be available in the future.

The 2024 GX interior now has a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14-inch touchscreen, ten audio speakers, wireless audio, synthetic leather interior, and roadside assist. On the exterior are 20-inch wheels and a sunroof. Overall, the 2024 Lexus GX is a significant advance from the 2023 model.

The Overtrail is equipped with an upgraded electronic suspension, locking rear differential, crawl control, adaptive suspension, aluminum skid plate, and 18-inch wheels wrapped with 33-inch all-terrain tires.
