Triumph Motor Company hasn’t built cars in nearly 40 years, but the name is back thanks to the guys from Makkina design house.
They are paying homage to the record-setting Triumph TR2 MCV575 “Jabbeke” from 1953 with the new TR25 electric prototype.
This concept car uses a BMW i3s platform and electric motor. As a result, the car has 181 horsepower, but the TR25 is much lighter compared to the German car. There are no plans to develop this prototype, but there is a good chance for the youngster to see how a Triumph might look in the future.
As you probably read, the Triumph TR2 MVC575 “Jabbeke” broke the and speed record for production cars under 2.0 liters in May 1953.
