The long awaited production version Toyota FT-86 has finally been revealed leaked, so here are two photos that show the front and rear of the car, as well as its interior.
According for AutoWeek, we have to thank Modellista, one of Toyota’s tuning partners for these leaked images, so it looks like the automaker’s big surprise for this year’s Tokyo Motor Show has practically been ruined (as it often happens in the auto industry).
This scanned brochure shows that the tuner has already developed a bodykit for the upcoming FT-86, with some of the elements including a less aggressive front bumper (when compared to the concept version), new side sills and a rear diffuser.
The engine that will power the production version Toyota FT-86 remains a mystery, but everybody expects a 2.0 litre Boxer engine under the hood rated at around 200 horses.
Subaru will unveil its own interpretation based on the FT-86 which will be called the BRZ, and in this case rumor has it that the power level will be around 300 HP.
Expect to see more details and official photos with the Toyota FT-86 once the production model will have its world premiere in Tokyo in December.
