Toyota’s official YouTube channel is promoting the FT-86 II Concept through a new teaser video before the car will actually go on display in Frankfurt next week.
It is claimed that this new iteration is a further improved version of the FT-86 II Concept seen in Geneva in March 2011, and even thought it all sounds good, we can’t help but wonder what’s holding Toyota back from taking this car into production already.
The teaser video presents short scenes from the concept’s development phase, mainly showing the FT-86 II receiving its colour inside a spray booth.
Apart from the FT-86 Concept, Toyota will also unveil the 2012 Avensis and the new Prius Plug-in Hybrid and the 7-seater Prius+ at this year’s IAA in Frankfurt.
