Toyota has revised the bZ4X electric crossover for the 2024 model year, adding new convenience technology and charging options. The 2024 Toyota bZ4X is more expensive than the 2023 model year, but it also has certain standard equipment enhancements. There are two trim levels: XLE and Limited, both available in front-wheel drive (FWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) configurations.
The XLE variant has an eight-way adjustable driver’s seat and a power tailgate, while the Limited comes standard with Advanced Park. This feature allows hands-free parking in perpendicular or parallel parking. Both trim levels are amply equipped, with the entry-level XLE getting a fixed panoramic glass roof, 18-inch alloy wheels, and dual-zone temperature control.
The Limited variant includes even more features, including a heated leather-trimmed steering wheel heated ventilated front seats, and upgraded upholstery. All 2024 bZ4X versions have a dual-voltage charging cable that can charge at both Level One and Level Two.
The base 2024 Toyota bZ4X XLE FWD has an MSRP of $43,070 (excluding the $1,350 delivery cost). The car is imported from Japan and therefore ineligible for the $7,500 federal tax credit when purchased.
Toyota is providing everyone who buys or leases a 2024 bZ4X a year of free charging at EVgo public stations across the country. The network now includes over 950 fast charging stations spread across 35 states. Toyota says consumers can sign up for this offer, find EVgo stations, and start charging their new bZ4X for free using the Toyota App on their mobile device.
The digital driver’s Multi-Information Display will show vital information such as vehicle range, charge time, and state of charge percentage. Owners of 2023 models can also acquire this capability through a dealer-installed software upgrade.
The XLE FWD has the highest projected range (252 miles), followed by the Limited FWD (236 miles), XLE AWD (228 miles), and Limited AWD (222 miles).
The 2024 bZ4X is slated to hit showrooms this month.
