Nick Heidfeld (Ger.) and Nicolas Prost (Fra.), son of F1 legend Alain Prost, were involved in a terrible crash in the first Formula E race in Beijing.
The accident took place in the final lap after Prost behind the wheels of a Spark-Renault SRT_01E rammed Heidfeld’s Venturi Spark-Renault SRT_01E and sent him into the air. The car flipped up several times and then it hit the barriers. Despite the massive impact, both drivers are unharmed.
Lucas di Grassi benfits to win the first Formula E event. The event was held in the Beijing Olympic Park which was the site of the 2008 Olympic Games.
