Everyone is waiting for the new 2014 Volkswagen Golf 7 R. The guys from AutoExpress talked to a Volkswagen insider who said that the new Golf R could have more than 300 hp. The same guy also told that the upcoming racer will be more affordable, with price starting at 35.000 Euros. 

Under the hood, the 2014 Golf 7 R will have a 2.0 liter turbocharged engine with four wheel drive system. According to the same source it will be lighter than its predecessor and will have 100 kilos more than the GTI version. 

The power will be guided to the ground via an updated electronically controlled mechanical front limited slip differential. The new Volkswagen Golf 7 R will probably debut in September at the Frankfurt Motor Show and will go on sale in early 2014.
