Tesla has reached an important milestone. According to the US-based manufacturer, at the Shanghai factory have been produced two million cars.
The Giga Shanghai, also known as Gigafactory 3, produces the Model 3 and Model Y.
The production started in China in late 2019 and the first million was reached within 33 months. The second million units were achieved in just 13 months.
Currently, Giga Shanghai factory is producing mostly Model Y (about two times more than the Model 3). Recently, the plant started production of the significantly refreshed Model 3.
