Even if it`s just a small SUV, the current Ssangyong Tivoli will have even a larger version. The new body version is scheduled to be launched during this year Geneva Motor Show, as Europe is a very important market for the Koreean manufacturer.
Called Ssangyong Tivoli XLV, the car was anticipated by the XLV Air concept at the IAA motor show in Frankfurt last year, and following favorable feedback the company has decided put the car into production.
Sharing the same platform and 2,600 mm wheelbase as the Tivoli, the XLV features a lengthened body from behind the C pillar, an increase of 235 mm over the standard car, expanding the load capacity to 720 cubic litres of space.
Tivoli XLV will be offered with a choice of a Euro 6 compliant 1.6 litre petrol or 1.6 litre diesel engine, and matched with the option of a 6-speed manual transmission or 6-speed Aisin automatic, two-wheel drive or four wheel drive.
