A second upgrade program presented by Sportec in Geneva last week was the SP 800 R, designed to take the Porsche 811 GT RS to even higher levels of performance.
As the tuner has once again followed the ‘more substance than appearance’ motto, the Sportec Porsche 911 GT2 RS has only been enhanced with a front and rear spoiler lips and 20 inch 7-spoke design black alloys wrapped in Cup tires size 245/30 and 315/25 at the exterior.
The hidden parts however are much more impressive, as the 3.6-litre 6-cylinder boxer engine from under the trunk lid is now capable of producing 800 HP (588 kW) and 900 Nm of torque due to a series of modifications which include sports camshafts, larger air coolers, new engine software, hybrid turbochargers and a titanium exhaust system with a customised manifold.
The results? instead of 3.5 seconds the new 0 to 100 Km/h acceleration time is 3.1 seconds, while the Sportec Porsche 911 GT2 RS is now able of reaching a top speed of 373 Km/h (330 Km/h with the stock version).
The Sportec Porsche 911 GT2 RS is also equipped with a 35 mm lower suspension and a high performance dual circuit brake system featuring 6-piston/4-piston aluminum calipers with vented
Brake Discs on the front and rear axle respectively.
