Smart Fortwo Electric Drive will be offered in Japan with a special edition, designed for those who feel they still have a playful side.
The car is the first to which Mickey Mouse`s image is associated, because the special edition is dedicated to this animated character. The new Smart ForTwo Electric Drive Mickey Mouse Edition will use four colours, borrowed from Disney animation movies: yellow (mirrors), white (wheels), black (tridion cell) and red (body).
Behind the Disney engraved floor mats we find leather upholstery with red stitching, also found on the steering wheel.
The Smart Fortwo Electric Drive is powered by a 55 kW/74 HP electric motor and a 17.6 kWh unit which replaces the old battery pack from the previous generation, and as a result performance has improved in all areas. To be more exact, the Fortwo ED is able to go from 0 to 60 mph in 11.5 seconds, can hit a top speed of 74.6 mph and has a driving range of 86 miles.
The car was developed with the help of BRABUS customization program, which will be applied only to 40 models.
