After it managed to storm the hearts of his fans with the new Octavia vRS, Skoda wants to do more and unveils a special edition, ready to be introduced at Geneva Motor Show.
Design
It is called Skoda Octavia vRS 230 and it features, as its name suggest, an extra 10 hp under the bonnet. The first picture shows us a racy design, sporty interior and modern technology. On the exterior, we see unique alloy wheels and a black painted spoiler.
The new special edition is also the first Skoda to feature – as standard – an electronically controlled front axle differential lock for more dynamic cornering.
Engine
The ‘230’ designation relates to the new vRS special edition’s horsepower, which helps the car accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 6.7 seconds with its 169 kW or 230 hp 2.0-litre petrol engine. The car’s top speed is 155 mph, marking another first for the Czech model. The Skoda Octavia vRS 230 is the fastest series-produced Octavia of all time.
Availability
The Octavia vRS special edition’s European market launch is set for June, with prices to be announced closer to that date.
