Skoda still holds the record for the fastest seven-seat SUV around the Nurburgring with the Kodiaq RS diesel. But now, there is another kid in town who managed to put his hand on a world record.

Skoda Enyaq RS (two electric motors, one for each axle, with 299 horsepower) has set the Guinness Record for Longest Continuous Car Drift On Ice.

The event took place on a frozen lake in Sweden, and behind the wheel was Evo magazine’s Richard Meaden. He managed to drift for 7.35 kilometers. The old record was over 6 kilometers and was set in 2022 in China.

The round icy track was covered by 39 times in 15 minutes.

Skoda made an interesting pick for the tires. The fronts were Michelin with 600 5 mm long studs, while at the back they have used Nokia with 300 2 mm long studs. In order to let loose a little bit more the back of the car so the drift could be realised easily.
