The Spanish car maker Seat will unveil at Worthersee the new Leon Cup Racer. The car is based on the five-door Leon and comes with a metallic matte grey paint with orange accents. It sits on 18 inch rims and has a new aerodynamic package that improves the handling on the circuit.
Inside the cabin, the customers will get a roll cage, bucket seats with HANS system, a TFT display and a multi-function steering wheel. Under the hood we find a 2.0 liter turbocharged that can output 330 horsepower and 350 Nm peek of torque.
The power is sent to the front wheels via a DSG six speed gear box and an electronically differential lock. The Spanish car maker will also offer the car with a sequential transmission and a center mounted shift lever and a mechanical differential lock.
"We expect to be able to offer the Leon Cup Racer to our customer teams as early as the 2014 season. We can also envisage further developing the Cup Racer to create a WTCC version with a 1.6-liter engine." said Jaime Puig, Head of Seat Sport.
