Opel has a big news for the SUV fans. The Zafira will be ditched and it will be replaced by a new model. Named Opel Grandland X, the SUV will be launched in 2017 and combine the coolness of a SUV with a high level of driving dynamics.
According to Opel the new model will have some interesting trumps: irresistible off road appeal, raised seating position, good all-round visibility, easy ingress/egress and plenty of space for luggage. And all of these will be combined with ruggedness, elegance and with a unique interior design.
The Grandland X will extend the extensive Opel offering in the especially popular compact class where it will join the successful Astra, Car of the Year 2016, and the recently launched seven-seat Zafira.
“The name Opel Grandland X stands for an adventurous type always prepared to explore something new – in both an urban or rural environment. Our new crossover model looks fantastic and will help excite new customers for the Opel brand,” said Opel CMO Tina Müller.
The Grandland X is part of Opel model offensive that will see 29 new models launched from 2016 to 2020.
