Robert Kubica has been involved in a high-speed crash in Italy on Sunday, during the Ronde di Andora rally stage.
The 26-year old Formula 1 driver has suffered fractures to his left arm and left leg after his Skoda Fabia S2000 rally car has hit a church wall, and was taken by helicopter to a hospital near Genoa.
Even though his injuries were not life threatening, Robert Kubica has already undergone a 7 hour surjery to his arm, with medics remaining reserved in offering details on how long it will take him to recover. However, based on the chirurgeon’s declaration, Robert Kubica will not be able to return to motorsports for at least one year.
As a result of this incident, Bruno Senna might be driving the Lotus Renault R31 this year alongside Vitaly Petrov.
