Renault has unveiled the all-new Scenic Vision. In my opinion this is not an MPV, this is just another crossover.
But this is not important. The important thing will be under the hood.
According to Renault, this concept car uese a special powertrain. It is electric and it is the same one used in the Megane: a 215 HP electric engine and a 40 kWh battery pack. But in order to improve than range, this Scenic Vision uses an underfloor-mounted 16-kW fuel cell which works on hydrogen.
A production version of the car will come in 2024, but we do not know for sure if Renault will use this hybrid setup or will offer only the battery. The reason is simple: nobody can predict how many hydrogen fuel stations will be until than, as the technology is not as popular today.
