Back in January, Renault announced us that Megane RS will be here for a shot amount of time. The French performance RS models will start wear Alpine logo, so in order to mark that, Renault launched the Megane RS Ultime.

Now, the French hot hatch managed to set a new lap time record around the Hockenheim GP track. As you can imagine, the record was set for front-wheel drive cars.

According to Sport Auto – who are responsible for the new record time – the French model did a lap in 1:59.2 seconds. An important thing is that the model who run the race track was not a stock one: the rear seats were removed and the car had special rims with Bridgestone Potenza S007 RS tires.
