Renault unveiled today the new Kwid, a mini SUV scheduled to reach Indian streets this summer. The new Kwid is Renault`s first mini SUV and one of the few cars in this segment. The car was tested in France and it will be produced in India, with enough chances to reach Europe as a Dacia model, considering its design and technological similarities with the Romanian models.
Kwid Exterior
The Renault Kwid illustrates the ‘Explore’ petal of Renault’s design strategy and it has short front and rear overhangs and high ground clearance: 180mm. The structured grille design highlights the logo, while the headlights incorporate the brand’s new lighting signature including a ‘C’-shaped chrome trim.
Renault Kwid Interior
The horizontal lines of the dashboard make room for digital instruments and chrome air vent surrounds. The dashboard also houses the centrally-positioned multimedia system.
The piano black centre console comes with a chrome-surround and houses the Media-Nav multimedia/navigation system which comes with a seven-inch display, an unprecedented size for the segment. The Kwid’s connected interior includes the Media-Nav with radio and Bluetooth technology for hands-free telephony which contributes to safer driving. With only 3.68 meters long, the KWID has a spacious boot for a best-in-class load capacity.
