Land Rover has confirmed that it will unveil at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show the new Range Rover Sport Hybrid. The info was confirmed by Stuart Frith, Land Rover’s Chief Programme Engineer for Range Rover Sport.
He also added that we will see an edition with a SDV8 diesel with 700 Nm and a 4-cylinder EcoBoost version. The new Range Rover Sport Hybrid will probably adopt the technology seen on the 2011 Range e plug-in hybrid.
That concept had a 3.0 liter TDV6 unit with 242 horsepower and an electric engine with 93 HP. It also comes with a ZF eight speed automatic gear box and a 14.2 kWh lithium-ion battery pack.
In 2011, the British officials told us that the concept car can go for 32 kilometers in electric mode and has a total range of 1.112 kilometers.
