Porsche is going for electric. This is for sure, and even though we don’t know when the first electric 911 will reach the market, we can say that the racing part of the future is looking pretty good.

During the 2021 Munich Auto Show, Porsche unveiled the Mission R Concept, which is basically a show car. But, just like the first Mission concept car, this might get one day in the production line.

The Porsche Mission R Concept has dimensions close to the current 718 models. But instead of a combustion engine, it has electric motors which are good for 1,073 horsepower. This amount of power is available only in Quali mode.

During the races, the Mission R Concept can deliver 680 horsepower and, according to Porsche, it is able to match the track performances of a current 911 GT3 Cup.
