The Stuttgart based automaker has revealed the new Porsche Panamera GTS at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
As the three letters indicate, this new Panamera version is a Sports Gran Turismo, which comes with a set of upgraded brakes, a lowered ride height (-10 mm), a specially tuned chassis connected to an air suspension and Porsche’s Active Suspension Management system (PASM).
The exterior has been enhanced with black accents on the front end, sides and rear area, while the interior has been upgraded with sporty seats covered in GTS leather and Alcantara and a SportDesgin steering wheel equipped with paddle shifters.
The main highlight however is the engine, as the Porsche Panamera GTS features a modified 4.8-litre naturally aspirated V8 producing 430 HP (316 kW) at 6,700 rpm and 520 Nm of torque (+30 HP and +20 Nm when compared to the Panamera S/4S). Thanks to this engine which spins all four wheels via Porsche’s Doppelkupplungsgetriebe PDK transmission, the Panamera GTS is able to reach 100 Km/h from a stand still in under 4.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 288 Km/h.
Fuel consumption figures are 10.9-litres per 100 Km (10.7-litres with low friction tires) and it should be mentioned that the Sport Chrono package is a standard feature on the GTS.
The Porsche Panamera GTS will carry a starting price tag of 116,716 Euro and it will become available on the market in February 2012.
