According to our friends from IndianAutosBlog, Porsche is working on a hybrid version of the Macan. The new "eco" SUV will be revealed in the near future.
“We’re working on it. We’ll have it in 1 or 2 years”, said Matthias Muller, Porsche CEO in an interview for IAB. For now we don’t have details about the hybrid system that will be used by Porsche to power the new Macan crossover, but we can say that it will be similar to the one used in the Cayenne S E-Hybrid.
That plug-in hybrid system uses a 3.0 liter engine and an electric motor for a total output of 416 horsepower and 590 Nm peak of torque, but we can say that in the Macan it will be less powerful.
With more details about the Macan hybrid model we will come after Porsche officials will decide to make a statement.
