One exemplar of the limited edition GT3 RS 4.0 has arrived in the hands of journalists at AutoExpress, who took it to Silverstone in order to create a proper review for a car that combines all of Porsche’s race and road-car knowledge.
With only 600 units available worldwide, the Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 is one of the most engaging road-cars money can buy, with power delivered by a 4.0-litre 6-cylinder engine rated at 493 bhp and 460 Nm of torque.
Apart from offering 125 horsepower per litre, everything else about the GT3 RS 4.0 is also screaming performance, considering the fact that the only transmission choice is a six-speed manual, plus the car comes with a race derived suspension, a wide number of weight optimised components and an aerodynamic kit that even contains winglets at the front (a first for a road-going Porsche)
With a total mass of 1,360 Kg and a lower center of gravity, the Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 will do nought to 62 mph in 3.9 seconds or nought to 124 mph in close to 12 seconds.
