Porsche has announced today that they have found out what was the problem which determined two of its brand new 911 GT3 to burn like a piece of paper. For now, the German official didn’t disclose the technical solution, but their engineers are dealing with the problem.

As you know, a few weeks ago two brand-new Porsche 911 GT3 caught fire in Europe. 

“We know the reason and the problem-solving measures,” Chief Executive Officer Matthias Mueller said today at a press conference near company headquarters in Stuttgart, Germany. We’re testing them.” Porsche plans to announce the technical solution “shortly” and will first inform customers, he said.

As you know, Porsche recalled all 785 911 GT3 units after the fire incidents. The carmaker took the rare step of requesting that owners stop driving the 137,300-euro ($190,700) car pending repairs. No accidents or injuries were tied to the incidents, it said at the time.
