For those fans who want to feel the wind in their hair and the sound of the exhaust more clearly, Porsche unveiled the new Boxster Spyder version. The purists will love this car because of its generous power resources and driving dynamics.
The car was officially unveiled during New York Auto Show, featuring the same classic fabric roof that is still opened and closed by hand, a detail that remembers us about the old generaton of Spyder.

Performance

The new sporty cabrio uses a new firm sports suspension with a 20-mm lower ride height, brakes taken from the 911 Carrera, more direct steering, and a 3.8-liter six-cylinder engine with an output of 375 hp. No wonder it is the lightest yet most powerful Boxster ever created, with a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 290 km/h (180 mph).

Interior Design

Inside the car, the driver and passenger sit in light sports bucket seats with large side supports, while the new steering wheel with a diameter of 360 mm helps ensure the mid-engine roadster can be driven precisely.
In line with the model’s purist design neither a radio nor an air conditioner is included as standard equipment in order to reduce weight. However, both can be ordered ex-factory as optional equipment at no extra cost.
