In a second Porsche 918 RSR video, this time published on the automaker’s YouTube channel, Michael Mauer, Chief Designer at Porsche AG Design speaks about the forces and ideas behind their new single seater coupe race car, which impresses in terms of both technology and appearance.
The Porsche 918 RSR works on the same principles as the 911 GT3 R Hybrid, which means a traditional engine mated with two motors and a flywheel generator, but this time with added power and traction.
As we’ve already mentioned the Porsche 918 RSR  delivers a total of 767 horses from its 563 (414 kW) V8 and its two electric motors (75 kW each) placed on the front axle, a system which is named the racing laboratory by Intelligent Performance.
