Porsche is introducing a power kit and a set of accessories for the new 911 Carrera S model.
The power kit raises the output on the 3.8-litre boxer engine from 400 HP (294 kW) to 430 HP (316), which Porsche claiming that these new figures, will enable the PDK equipped version to sprint from 0 to 100 Km/h (0 to 62 mph) in 4.0 seconds when the transmission is set into Sport Plus mode.
This kit also enables the 911 Carrera S to reach a top speed of 308 Km/h (+2 km/h) / 7-speed manual model, and despite the 7 percent power increase, the fuel consumption values remain unchanged.
The increase was achieved through adaptations applied to the electronic engine management and modifications such as special cylinder heads with different camshafts, an entirely new variable resonance intake system design and the addition of a centre radiator.
As for the new personalisation products available for the Porsche 911 Carrera S, these consist from aerodynamically tuned components such as a new front apron that features new air intakes and a fixed rear spoiler in ‘ducktail’ form.
There is also the Aerokit Cup which Porsche calls the top upgrade and which consists from an additional fixed rear wing over the rear spoiler and a special front spoiler lip with extra air intakes.
