Polestar has announced that the O2 concept car will enter production. Yup, the roadster prototype will become a mass production electric model starting 2026.

The name of the car will be Polestar 6 and the convertible will ride on an 800V architecture developed in-house. The same platform will be used on the Polestar 5 and will be available with two electric motors which can deliver up to 884 horsepower and 900 Nm peak of torque.

When the Polestar 6 will be launched, the company will offer 500 “LA Concept” edition models. All of these will come with the concept’s Sky blue exterior paint, light leather interior, and unique 21-inch wheels.

The information was confirmed by Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath. Until now, Polestar has launched only the 1 and 2 models. The first one was a performance PHEV, while the Polestar 2 is a fully electric crossover. The Polestar 3 is an SUV and it will be launched this year.
